Here is a view looking down the groove intended to hold the lightning rod. I recall seeing a whole Enggren lightning rod system on an old home. When I next visited the area some years later a whole run of the LRIs were gone. Removed with an upgraded A/C system installation. I found no pieces of the removed LRIs. The bracket used were normal style iron ring brackets.
