Talked with a local rancher and he told me that in the late 1960's a huge lightning storm went through and completely decimated this entire transmission line. The Power crews camped out on the line and were there for several weeks working to rebuild it. He saw several truck loads of insulators being dumped all over the area. It is quite a remote local. Only an occasional hunter or foolish insulator geek might stumble upon it.
