Dilapidated Railroad Signal Pole

Hear is a fine example of how a good linemen is very resourceful.

They made a hole and jammed two cross arm style metal/ wood pins into the side of the pole and bent them at an angle to keep the underside of the insulators dry in the absence of a proper side pin bracket.

These insulators were so low on the pole I could reach up and touch the disgusting rubber ones. The big black wire was sagging at waist level.
