The following item was found on the Georgia Central Ry telegraph line in the late 1960's. It was found half way between Macon and Fort Valley, GA. This CD 104 {MLOD} is skirt embossed Wm. Brookfield (arch) /New York and is a rich yellow-green color. I've always wondered why one would find a telephone insulator on a Western Union telegraph line - my thought is that it was used as a replacement insultaor. This photo was taken with overhead florescent lighting. I will also post a second picture taken outside in daylight. Note: This insulator was posted at an earlier date, but I put the wrong CD number on the post. Also, these are better pictures made with a much better camera. [78864820] |
