Spotted this young coyote today on the hunt. Most likely one of this years pups that is trying to survive the first Winter. Here in the Klamath basin it has been an early and cold Winter. We have not seen bare ground since the day after Thanksgiving. Heavy snow/ice everywhere. It has been especially hard on the predator populations. This young coyote is so involved in the hunt that he does see/hear me approaching him for some photos. Nature at it's best!
