Lots of tamales and Negra Modelo beer were being consumed at the 3rd annual Tamale Festival at the old Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, TX. My brother, Mark, had just retired from the Army, so I took him to the festival to get reacquainted with Mexican food. Needless to say we ate our weight in fantastic tamales. Shown is the original brewery building built in the late 1800's. The area is now apartments, lofts, restaurants, and various other types of businesses. The Culinary Institute of America is also there. Sweet corn, monterrey jack cheese, chicken, and jalapeno tamales, YUMMY!
