I took this piece to Springfield to get some expert opinions. It certainly matches the general profile and dimensions of U-712. Looks like a U-713 with a special crown application. It is listed as from an "Ohio Brass Drawing". I have hundreds of O.B. pieces and have seen many hundreds more and have never seen a glaze anywhere close to this in O.B. I thought maybe a Lima but THE Lima expert, Ken Willick, was leaning toward New Lexington and now so am I. Anyone have one of these or seen one before?
