This is my newest old addition to my collection of CRT television sets. A 1980s (?) Philips Natural 10 AC-DC model KA910 portable colour television set. It has a 9 inch screen, shadow mask (mind you, this is from before the Sony Trinitron aperature grill age) and in-line RGB phosphor pattern. It features an eight channel push button VHF tuner (channels 0,2,3,4,7,9,10 & U), with a 'rabbit ears' antenna. Being an old telly, there is only a coaxial jack, so it doesn't have any audio-visual jacks to connect to a VCR or DVD player. With the switchover to digital television rapidly approaching (before the end of the year), I'll have to keep a set-top digital to analogue converter box connected to this. Sadly, it won't be very portable anymore (but regardless, even with a set-top box, it's still more portable than my 21 inch Sony Trinitron!). |
