Boone County Historical Museum Belvidere, Ill. The museum is located just off state street near the river downtown area. Visit the museum and it's free, but a donation is accepted. I've been inside it last year and asked about the insulators. The director said there was more and will be getting the collection together soon. Well here is is and very nice collection from a local collector I didn't even know. Guess I better get the word out more I collect and trade too.

There is a lot of history displayed inside this museum and it has civil war stuff, military related, local businesses and their products. It has the first Chrysler made in Belvidere too. Mint and never driven. If you like cars there is the Jack Wolf dealership too who is selling his old cars collection at the dealership too.
