The Huguenot Mill was built in 1882 in downtown Greenville, SC on the Reedy River. Early on, the mill was powered by a steam engine instead of water power. Huguenot Mill closed down and was on very valueable land in downtown Greenville so a use was quickly found. The Peace Center of Greenville, SC now owns the buildings and can be reserved for special events. http://www.hmdb.org/marker.asp?marker=17570 |
