One of my side hobbies is antique fruit box labels. I recently purchased some labels from this great site: http://www.thelabelframer.com/site/index.php The owner of this site is very helpful and knowledgeable. He shared this image of a great rare Texas fruit label called Wet-N-Dry, which dates to the 30's. His theory is that Wet N Dry refers to Prohibition - with "Wet" being Mexico - somewhere you can drink alcohol legally and "Dry" being Texas - the opposite. What do others think? (This seems right up Gil's alley)! |
