Mill No. 5 by the Pacolet Manufacturing Company was completed in 1907 on the site of Mills No. 1 & 2, destroyed by the Pacolet River Flood of 1903. This mill was in operation until 1983 when it was closed.

In 1995, Mill No. 5 was demolished. This was most likely regreted today as there isn't anything in the town of Pacolet anymore.
