Pacolet Mill No. 3 was built by the Pacolet Manufacturing Company downstream from Mills No. 1 & 2 in 1891. Another dam for hydraulic power was constructed across the Pacolet River beside Mill No. 3. In 1903 the Pacolet River Flood badly damaged Mill No. 3. After repairs, the mill was back in operation again in 1904.

In 1957, Mill No. 3 was closed due to the company reduced production. It was later demolished and is an empty lot today.
