The Drayton Mills were established in 1902 and named after W. H. Drayton, a Revolutionary War hero. The mill produced lawn cloth and voiles. It was sold to Milliken in 1937. Today the mill is still owned by Milliken and is used as a warehouse. Its location near downtown Spartanburg, SC makes it a good candidate to be converted into condos.
