Clifton Mill No. 3

The Clifton Manufacturing Company finished their third mill North of Clifton No. 1. Opening in 1900, the original mill building didn't last very long, in 1903 the Pacolet River flood destroyed the mill entirely while the power plant did survive. A whole new mill was constructed on the hill above the old one and became known as Converse. Converse Mill shadowed old Clifton Mill No. 3 below it.

Nothing remains of the original Clifton No. 3 other then foundations and dam for the hydroelectric plant.
