My other passion is collecting vintage high intensity discharge (HID) lamps. Pictured are various wattages from, GE, Sylvania, Westinghouse, Philips, and Radian. The GTE Sylvania 400 watt reflector Hg lamp was purchased at a local Habitat for Humanity store for $2.00. Nowadays, most of the Hg lamps purchased in the US are made in China and are of poor quality. Those made by Iwasaki Electric of Japan (EYE) are of very good quality.
