I have rescued these two insulators which appear to be quite old, they were filthy with soot, but cleaned up nicely. What were they used for and how can I figure out hold old they are. The G is in the form of a C with a backwards squiggle to make the G. Also as you run your fingers over the periods between the H. G. C, O., they are pointed as if the glass embossing was done separately. Any history on these items would be appreciated. Thanks H.
