Almost 20 years ago I dug a few broken specimens of this insulator from a dump in Upstate NY. I kept one heavily damaged piece, always hoping to find another one. This past Friday I went to visit a local collector to purchase some of his excess inventory and lo and behold, he had a mint one! We reached an agreement on a purchase price and I became the proud owner. Elton Gish thinks the insulator dates from approx. the 1917-1918 time period. We both feel it is most likely a Locke item. The dimensions are 9" - 6.5" - 5" x 8" h. Elton has assigned it M-3114. It really is a beautiful color. Thanks Jim!
