Found by Mario in Uruguay, these insulayors are most unusual. Apart from the style, please note the logo or makers mark on the sides of the insulators.

Any ideas or suggestions as to where these were made or to who made them. All thoughts or comments appreciated, and on behalf of Mario, Thanks. Bob

Just received an identity update from Lis and Jim Bergman. This insulator is shown in the Keith Neal book entitled Railway and other Rare Insulators.. The note from Lis Bergman is below..

Hi Bob: Just looked at the photo of Mario's insulator for identification. It is just like to one in Keith Neal's book "railway … Insulators – page 26. It would be nice to see a photo of it face on to the embossing. Our insulator has "made in England" on one side and "British/E.O.A./Made" on the other. There are some letters up where the hole is – not being able to see it but I would suspect that it was either for a railway or electrical company. Hope that helps. Lis
