Lighthouse insulator

Visited an 1860's era lighthouse on the Northern California coast. It was once connected by telegraph, but I did not see any displays or remnants of old lines. The only insulator I spotted was this porcelain bushing, there is an identical bushing on the other (inside) wall. The lighthouse was electrified in 1937.
