Turkey Monster photo # 3. I was a track Letterman in High School. Some time later on the open sagebrush and Juniper in eastern Oregon I came across a herd of these willy critters. It was Turkey hunting season and when I jumped the flock I figured I could out run them and bag a couple with my 12 gauge shotgun on the run, Little did I know that they could out run a track star over open ground and never even take flight. Man was I embarrassed. I will never forget how fast they could accelerate. Wild Turkeys rock!
