It is charged from solar panels and wind generators, no gasoline or other combustible fuels involved. The roof above the parking area in this photo is a large solar array.

It even has a name, they call it "Sunny".

The power is produced by a large General Electric DC motor and storage batteries. It has an "accelerator" pedal and brake pedal, no transmission, or clutch. Just step-n-go...
