Chia-Lite Street Light Pole

Chia-itis, a relentless and festering type of plant that is spreading like wildfire in portions of North America, is consuming this street light pole.

Looks sorta cool, doesn't it?

Utilities don't think so. They are starting to rally hate this stuff because they are finding it nearly impossible to control.

Anyway, you will want to see two more photos of extreme examples of this unruly phonomenon (the next two "Previous" buttons) as similar vines consume active wooden utility poles.

Added note: Wouldn't you think Christmas lights strung around these decorative outdoor plants look cool?
