Central City as the name implies is the midway point on the Illinois Central Kentucky division between Paducah and Louisville, KY. In the 1980's this was the hotspot for getting roster photos, collecting frame numbers and serial numbers. The crews and staff at the facility were always friendly. The site has now all been raised and cleared out. The only thing remaining is a lonely coal tower setting in the middle of the old property.
