The long stretch

This is a shot along a straight stretch of CN Rails that were once the Grand Trunk Railway. As you can see, there are no poles at all and it takes a lot of luck to even find a stump, and then a day of digging to hopefully find something that isn't damaged and isn't clear. This is why our collection is so small but we enjoy doing it, just have to watch all the bears in our area. Beautiful landscapes to see along the way. We usually start at a road and pace off 50 paces and begin searching around those areas as that's fairly close to the original pole spans.
