Hello, during a dig today we found a bunch of porcelain stuff, nothing fancy, but, we found three CP 2421's that have an odd coating on them like an metal looking oil slick. It almost looks like carnival glass except it's porcelain. We tried scrubbing it off but to no avail. It's hard to get capture in the photo's but I am uploading 4 photo's to see if anyone can enlighten me as to what this coating could be?

Answered by Dave Dahle: "There are some brown porcelain that just have that "metallic" look to them."
