The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad's diesel streamliner, ex Great Northern 274, sits on the main line just east of the Garibaldi station where the steam tourist train begins. This locomotive was owned by a well known Portland rail enthusiast but was isolated after 2007 when a severe storm broke the railroad link to Portland. That owner finally sold it to the OCSR knowing he may never have gotten it back, since nobody knows if and when the link will ever be fixed! Behind the 274 is Port of Tillamook Bay GP-9 diesel 101, more commonly known as "The Cow" since it is painted like a Holstien cow in honor of the dairy industry here. It also now belongs to a private owner. Behind it is an ex SP Daylight baggage car and some RDC's (self powered diesel passenger cars). The 220 foot stack from the old Garibaldi lumber mill, a town landmark, looms large in the background.
