A comparison of the new Lapp cap and pin substation type and the old style brown multipart it replaced at the Garibaldi, OR. Substation. The new one is made exactly the same height as the old one, 12 inches, for easy replacement and the bolt patterns are exactly the same. They should keep from salt air flashover with those large petticoats on them. The old multiparts, of which I have several, are arced over pretty bad from salt air residue, but they were in place since the 1950's!
