Saw this shot in a 1976 movie titled The Last Hard Man staring Charlton Heston and James Coburn. The insulators looked me to be white milk glass verses white porcellians the way the sun seem to me penatrating and not just reflecting off. If can't make out in my pic whether these insulators are glass maybe if you click on the original size on this page you'll agree they are semi- transparent. They don't have drip points on either the tops or bases. The frame was distorted when I paused for a good look. I looked in the price guide and saw no double wire groove insulator filling the white milk glass order. I also notice and you may to that the pin on the right at least is square and not round. Makes me think the setting was a Hollywood setting never having heard of square wooden pins being used. Any ideas? . Also, would anyone who didn't see this movie care to guess why these two insulators were focused on in the first place? The scene was supposed to be at a train station nearby Yuma, Arizona. |
