I recently purchased this U-746 with nice PITTSBURG incuse marking from a non-collector. The history of the insulator is interesting and provides an unusual story about how the insulator survived since it was made in the 1910's. Apparently it was used around Georgetown, CO. A little lady saved the insulator from the dump -- perhaps the Pittsburg marking reminder her of home. The guy I bought it from had this story to tell: "My aunt and uncle moved from Denver to a house on Taos Street in Georgetown, Colorado in the late 50's. All of the porcelain insulators you see were in the house. One of the apparent, prior owner was a Mrs. Grout. Georgetown is an historic mining town about 48 miles west of Denver. I acquired the insulators when my aunt passed away in 1982." Click here to see the marking [id=313012521]

I would like to hear from anyone who has a similar insulator. A couple have been reported with an Old English style font.
