Ready to Go

After looking after three swallow chicks after their nest was knocked down, they began to venture out of the nest I built for them and perch out on the electrical cords strung around the hallway. Here we see the three chicks (short tails) and one of the parents. They lingered like this for a few days. Another day and they would all fly away for good. Swallows are a real friend to us, as the flies (Afghan Air Force) create major problems for the Marines in terms of sickness and dysentery.
