CO asked me to build him a BBQ and told me where I could get a barrel. I took the 10K up to the LZ and found the barrel described to be in much better condition and and minus the couple gallons of JP8. Got the fuel gone and went over to ask about the volatility of the stuff before I began cutting on it. Ended up filling it with water and cutting it as it drained through my cuts. A couple of evenings of free time and voila! ... a BBQ. With temps well over 130, I had to burn it out of all the paint and fuel residue to avoid funny tasting food. Anyone unfamiliar with temps like this might rethink it when they say "It's too hot to cook". :-P |
