An unexpected find in a Canadian dumpster this week. Just removed from service from a high voltage line in southern Ontario was a pair of FIL Italian discs. These were mixed in with four OB's to complete a string. Other discs from this line are Canadian Porcelain (CP) and some glass Sediver. This copper coloured disc was the least damaged, cleanly broken in half. The cap is embossed FIL (Fabbrica Isolatori Livorno) and the disc is inkstamp 170 VI 27 .

27 is the year of manfacture. Interesting also is the CP discs are dated 31 - 42.
