We recently walked another abandoned RR track and found this item beside the track. We think it is a Hyatt roller bearing for a train dating after 1930 and before 1950. We are guessing the weight to be above 300 lbs- its seems to be mainly iron. It is marked Hyatt. We are unsure of the value of an item like this, but we just don't collect this type of thing. We would like to see it preserved if it is of value to someone. Please contact me if you know what it is and what the value may be- or if you are interested in it for minimal cost.
