Here is a side view of a neat style of porcelain LRI. I've coined the term 'Saddle Type" for this neat Kretezer LRI. It stands right at 1 1/2" tall. It has a hole down the center to attach the LRI to a building, using a nail or screw. I recall purchasing my first one, many years ago, and I just drooled at this unusual style. Oh, it is embossed on the base: PATENTED MAY 13, 1902. Kretzer was a very large Lightning Protection Company.
