This spool appears to be made of a terra cotte like material. The outter surface appears to be fired but not glazed. The spool in 2 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches high. The wire groove is 5/8 inches wide. The diameter of the hole is 3/8 inches. There is noembossing or marking on the piece.
