Here is a light brown one that just came out of the bake oven after 4-5 hours. I use an old $18 electric apartment range in my shop that I removed the burners and top from since I just use the oven. I pre heat the insulator and then run it up to 425 degrees which takes 12 minutes, turn it off and let it bake at around 325 and then let it cool in the oven until cold. It comes out with a very strong glossy finish similar to glaze. I have only broken one which shattered at 500 degrees before I knew what I was doing! To see my outdoor test crossarm, click NEXT. |
