This extremely salt air flashed Lapp line post was pulled out of service recently (for good reason!). It was likely on a pole very near the ocean. One of those poles you can stand under and hear the buzzing and crackling of the power leaking off! Of course, the utility regards this as wasting energy and also a hazard since a pole fire can be the result! This comes with a heavy steel pole top bracket which can be removed if necessary.
