This is a very rare Johns-Manville marked multipart made by New Lexington. These seem to be fairly late in NL production maybe 1908-1910. Every one I have ever seen had this mud colored glaze but clearly NL characteristics. Only about six multipart designs are known with this marking with only one to five examples of each known . This is one of the rarest markings found on early first generation multiparts. I'd like to be the owner! this is one of three known specimens of this design made by new lexington with the Johns-Manville marking |
