Pelzer Square Nails

At a recent trip to Pelzer I found some square nails used in the wood floors of the cotton mills. They date back to 1880 when the mills were built. There are a lot of them still around the mill sites because the mills were demolished for the wood and bricks. There is even a pile of original wood flooring that is in good condition on the property. All the boards have square nails in them!
