One of my favorites on my fence mounted insulator display is this funky, crude, yellow U-114 mud job. At least 20 years ago it was still on a crossarm with disconnected wires along with several other more ordinary brown U-114's. This one stood out so much that I was compelled to work hard enough to climb the pole and get it and the others down. By 'work' I mean climb a long ways up a very old and scary PGE pole to just to get to the crossarm! It's a good thing I did because a few years after that....the line was scrapped. It is unmarked but gotta be a Pittsburg. |
