Here we are filtering water from a spring near our camp. We could probably have drunk this water unfiltered. It was bubbling up from sand at the base of a cliff. But because it formed a little pool, we decided it was better to be safe than sorry. There were lots of birds and other small creatures around this water source, and each one left "calling cards."
