My New Set of Porcelain Insulators!

Thanks to the nice folks at the Madison, SD Municipal Electrical Department, I was able to get a small set of porcelain insulators that were used on the old 2400v circuits in Madison, SD, which are currently being phased out. I got a general set of brown/black colored insulators from various manufacturers such as Pinco and Locke.

The big white insulator in the center is porcelain, and has a date of 1997 embossed on the side.

I also took this photo right after I cleaned off the insulators in the dorm kitchen sink (still in college), so that explains the wet spots on the blue bed sheet.
