Chuckey now lives outside on one of my yard poles. I looked long and hard for one of the very small size wooden side brackets proportioned to Chuckey's diminutive size. Note the comparison in size of Chuckey's bracket and the standard size bracket the Lima is on. I seem to remember these small brackets somewhere in my dim and distant past. They were the kind you could buy in a mail order catalog or a hardware store and were painted red (lead?). This small bracket I found for Chuckey has traces of red paint barely visible since it's badly weathered. The standard size bracket on the left is the type normally seen used on older telephone lines. It is currently holding an outdoor extension cord I use in that corner of the yard. Since we are encouraged to always mention insulator numbers, there are 2 Thomas U-958 glazewelds, one with a pin sleeve and a Thomas M-2115 multipart on the crossarm.
