I took a little hike today just to kick around and see what I could find. I was expecting to find nothing, and got what I expected. The line next to which I was hiking started with threadless glass, then a blobtop/Cauvet's second generation replacement, then a third generation double petticoat line. This last line was removed in 1976, but in some areas, poles remain. I found a lot of poles today, but nothing in the way of glass aside from a few Hemingray 40 and 42 shards. Most of the poles are half buried in river silt, but this one looks like it was moved around by flood waters sometime in the last 34 years and deposited against this tree. 2/4/2010.
