Here is the "larger" prism-style embossing. I see more H.G.CO. beehives with this particular embossing than any other style. Or at least they seem to be more common in my area. There are a lot of very minor variations on this type, (i.e. slightly different shape of the G, wider spacing, etc) but most of them have embossed lettering in the neighborhood of 9 or 10 mm in height. I consider the small downward or "southeasterly" pointing "tail" of the "G" to be practically diagnostic for the prism embossing, including this "large" style, and the "small" style as shown in previous picture. |
