CADIZ RAILROAD #8 a 4-4-0 steamer poses for a photo. The Cadiz Railroad was located in central southwestern Kentucky. The shortline ran from Cadiz, KY to Gracey, KY where it interchanged with the Illinois Central. The White family owned and operated this line. Exact location and date unknown. The Cadiz was a rather short line being only 10.33 miles in length. Local rumors have it that while on a trip to a railroad convention, Mr. White was asked about his line. When he informed the listener of the length of the line, the listener just laughed. Mr. White replied that his line may not be as long as some of the big boys, but it was just as wide !!!!
