As you may know, cats are very good about going to the bathroom. They will dig a hole, be it in their litter box or outside in the leaves, or wherever, go to the bathroom in it, and then cover it up. Some better than others ;-)

Well, I have not seen it to this extreme... We have about 4-5" of somewhat wet snow on the ground. Our cat "Amber8" was out in front of our office, digging in the snow. At first I thought he was digging for a mouse under the snow or something, but nope...

After he had cleared the snow away from a square foot or so, and got down to the ground, he "did his business" ... Like most cats, he also covered it up... Looks like he drew snow from up to 2' away to cover it up !! ....

Perhaps you can't fully appreciate the scale of this "cover up" ... The pile is more than a foot in diameter, and probably nearly a foot tall as well!

Remember, this is cat, in snow! Can your cat do this? Is it clever enough to do this? (stupid enough? ;-) We do thank him, and every bit that he does outside is one less contribution to the litter box inside!
