Well, I never intended to use a bird feeder as a squirrel trap, but that's exactly what I got a few days ago! A small feisty red squirrel must have pried the lid up with his head and crawled in. According to eyewitnesses, he was in there for 4-5 hours before my son got home from school and let him out. Wonder if he liked the prison food?
