A triple arm open wire line we built at the restored Brooks, Southern Pacific railroad depot at the museum. So far it is only 2 poles and we are planning a third one. This came about when Harvey Hilands, a founding museum member passed away. That time (2005), roughly coincided with the time we were extending the electric railway to the depot location. Harvey always mentioned how he would like to see "them crossarms" by the depot like the SP had in the old photos of the depot. So we honored his request and built it out of donated hardware, crossarms and insulators. The insulators are not all just common Hemingray 42's like the S.P. had, since I wanted to put up a better variety of insulators. To see close-ups of both poles in 'view original' pole No. 1 [id=131073783] and pole No. 2 [id=158874947]. Collector Nathan Lamkey of nearby Salem OR. donated a nice mix of amber streaked and odd color types. I put in a few duplicates from my own collection as well as some we had on hand already. People love how it made the whole area look more like a 'time warp!'
